Hello, Spencer from Ohio....I need both front and rear tires for my ride. It's a Kz 1000 A2A. Has a ( not stock ) double rotor front end and stock rear. Of the people in the know out there, what brand do you guys ride on and like the best. Thanks for your posts.

Hello, Spencer from ohio. I have a set of 29 mm on my KZ1000. After removing them for a clean, rebuild and shine....I noticed that they were marked on the right side intake flange 29v7. Are they marked as such from the factory? Thanks for posts.

Hello, Spencer from Ohio....I have purchased a KZ 1000 that has been modified. The previous owner no longer travels the earth, so info is lost on what has been done to the bike. Im sure its not stock .... so this brings me to my question. Need to find out what cams are installed. Dont most cams have ID numbers on the butt-end of shaft. I thought I could pop the cam cover and end seal to see the numbers? am I correct on this. Thanks for any help.

I have a  1974  Kawasaki. It has been raked, 6in. over double clubfoot swingarm, zx750 17in. rear wheel non slick and no wheelie bar. Lightened as much as possable with keeping it button start and charging. The motor is a MKII with 73mm bore (1105). It has 10.25.1 pistons drop in cams light port work with stock valves and a Star sidewinder, MSD-MC1 ignition 14-44 gearing air shifted with 1974 28mm carbs. with open velocity stacks. and pingle fuel valve. Last yr. out of 5 passes I went a 6.95..1/8 mile and was running out of gas at 9500 rpm. I weigh 215lbs. I have a set of 33mm...

Hello, new member.... Spencer from Ohio. I have purchased a highly mod 1978 kz1000. The stock swing arm has been lengthened and works good looks good. I would like to install a modern alum swing arm. Can anyone suggest replacement  info like donor yr/model/and if the part needs to be mod to fit. I have found some info online for a GSXR swing arm swap?  your help would be appreciated.  Huh

Update 2/4/12 I have found a few places that you can purchase a swingarm from. Tracstore has one in steel or alum for $900 to a $1100 nice to know but OHCH.......

1981 KZ650-CSR w VM24 accelerator pump carburetors w stock 92.5 mains & 15 pilots

The bikes are known to be jetted lean from the factory.
I guess this is true - isn't that one of the reasons for the accel pump?

Anyway, would it be a good idea to go ahead & install slightly larger main jets?  ... such as 1 or 2 sizes up?  Or just leave well enough alone, if the bike is running fine & the plugs look okay?  Thanks. JMK.
