Need a gas tank from a KZ900 (or a Z1, KZ650 or early KZ1000) - My tank developed a leak that will cause the paint to be ruined when I braze it. The new tank should be dent free as I am going to powdercoat and not paint and bondo will not take the heat. Would like to have a little inside rust, if possible. Contact me by PM and have a price/pics on hand. Thanks wg

Let us see the tank after powder coating..Never seen a tank powdercoated..Powdercoating takes a lot of heat to lay flat.. What about warpage ? Have you done this before.. Huh

Since the tank will be for a carb testing bike, I will get it powder coated whatever color he has going. He tends to shoot only one or two colors a week and "special" colors can sometimes take weeks for him to get to. Probably will be black or silver.

They are now powder coating plastic. Don't know how. I have seen high end garage storage systems that were made of particle board type stuff and plastic and it was all powdercoat.

Yeah,
Powder coat has come a long way,The blast/Paint company that we use,are about to install a new system
I was speaking to the guythe other day (enquiring about painting my bodywork)
He says that I can have a pearlescant finish, if I wish  Grin
I havent decided on the colour yet,but since I wont be getting it done til about November,I will have sometime toi think about it.
