Chance,

I used that aircraft paint stripper on a molded twin tank, my big red one, never again.  What should have been easy, turned into a recreation. I was wet behind the ears on that one.

I was checking some things and this bike was built in 11/74 the biggest production month for the Z1 according to Z1 enterprises. I guess it make this bikes value less. But this bike has matching #s frame & engine. All marked parts have 4  11 I would guess that means 4th day eleventh month..Got the swingarm back from the machine shop they removed a bolt I couldn't get out naw # 3 plug hole was crossthreaded the shop said bring the bike and they would clean the threads for free.. I made a clear hose to fit in the cyl hole from my vacuum cleaner I hope it gets most of whatever falls in the cly.. Huh

Well ... I see that you've been BUSY as all heck and I missed it completely.

Anyway ... that's a real nice looking KAW you built there bro.

Found a 77 LTD that will need EVERYTHING done to it if I decide to buy it for another project ... but like you I aint never got no extra $$$ because the economy sucks and my shop business has been slow all year.

The 77 was last ran 15 years ago, seat is missing, all the rubber is shot including cables, brakes are frozen, it's a real mess but the motor is not locked up and the speedometer only shows 16,000 and some change on it. This bike sat out in the Arizona desert under a open carport until these folks moved to Alabama last year.

The original owner is a long legged red head who claims she quit riding because one of her friends got hurt real bad in a bike wreck so she parked this LTD and never rode it again. To bad she didn't keep it INSIDE a shed or something Cry
